Drive To Kidepo Valley National Park We will have breakfast in Moroto and then travel to Kidepo in time for lunch and an evening game drive. With over 80 species of mammals, the park has one of the most diverse faunas of any Ugandan park. The cheetah, striped hyena, caracal, and over 460 bird species, including ostriches, are all endemic to Kidepo National Park. Kidepo Valley National Park, voted the best park in Africa four times by CNN, covers 1442 square kilometers and is dominated by rugged savannah and the Morungule Mountains. There are also the Narus and Kidepo river valleys, all of which contribute to the beauty of KVNP. There is also the Kanangarok hot spring near the border with Sudan. Because of the variations in rainfall across the valleys, the vegetation is mostly open tree savannah. The Narus valley receives more rain than the Kidepo valley, resulting in differences in vegetation and animal population between the two valleys. Because the park is home to a diverse range of wildlife and birds, there are numerous activities available, making it a popular Uganda safari destination. While most people associate Uganda with gorilla trekking expeditions in Bwindi, Kibale, and Mgahinga National Parks, Kidepo Valley provides an entirely different experience due to its location, climate, vegetation, and wildlife population. It is a pristine wilderness. Meals included: Breakfast Lunch: Packed Lunch Dinner Accommodation included: Overnight at Kidepo Savannah Lodge
